April 3, 2019 | By More

The Southern Thoracic Surgical Association abstract submission deadline is less than one week away! The STSA 66th Annual Meeting will be held November 6-9, 2019 at the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort in Marco Island, FL. The deadline to submit abstracts is Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. ET. If you started an abstract in the submission website and it is currently in draft mode, please complete and submit your abstract before the deadline. Abstracts in draft mode will not be considered.

Oral and video abstract submissions are accepted, and the submission categories include adult cardiac, congenital, and general thoracic, as well as history, surgical education, simulation and team-based learning, patient safety, and lessons learned from intraoperative complications.

Access the STSA 66th Annual Meeting abstract submission website.

You may review the STSA 66th Annual Meeting abstract submission guidelines at the beginning of the submission process and prior to selecting your submission type. This website will appear different than the submission site from previous STSA Annual Meetings as STSA has migrated to a new submission module. The company now hosting the STSA abstract submission site also manages the STSA Annual Meeting CME evaluations and mobile application. If you have attended an STSA Annual Meeting in the past four years and/or have claimed CME credits, it is highly likely that you already have an account in the system. All existing account credentials have been reset. You may login with your e-mail address as the username and as the password. Passwords may be changed upon logging in. If you have changed institutions and no longer have access to your former e-mail address used for previous CME evaluations, you may create a new account.

If you have attended an STSA meeting in the past, you understand why attendees return year after year. The collegiality, fun, and scientific value of the STSA Annual Meeting are unmatched. In addition, Annual Meeting oral presentations are submitted for publication consideration in The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, which has a circulation of more than 8,000 subscribers. The STSA Annual Meeting continues to be an exceptional forum for disseminating your work to the entire field of cardiothoracic surgery.

Please direct any support questions regarding abstract submissions and account login credentials to STSA at stsa@stsa.org or call (312) 202-5892
